“We provide a diverse array of skill-focused programs to meet the demands of the modern economy. Our primary objective is to assist high school students, incumbent workers, job seekers, and underserved populations in attaining gainful employment,” says Steve Kane, executive director of SpaceTEC Partners.
Every aspect of the training curriculum is designed to be region-specific and is meticulously tailored to align with available opportunities. Before developing a course, a job-task analysis involving experienced technicians, production managers, and supervisors with extensive industry experience is conducted.
The analysis aims to identify and consolidate the essential skills across various industry sectors. Insights are used to summarize the skills required for technicians to perform their duties effectively. Collaborating with educators in the region allows SpaceTEC Partners to assess the existing coursework and identify areas of improvement.
SpaceTEC Partners fills the skill gaps with a detailed curriculum that addresses those gaps. Once students complete the course, their readiness is evaluated. It administers over 30 certification products as an internationally accredited certification agency. Third-party organizations such as the American Society for Testing Materials International, Society of Automotive Engineers, Performance Research Institute, and certain state high schools also use its assessment services.
SpaceTEC Partners understands the importance of regularly updating certifications to showcase ongoing commitment, expertise, and adaptability in rapidly evolving fields. In a job market where technology advances continuously, employers prioritize frequently renewed credentials. The certifications are tangible proof of sustained proficiency and the ability to meet employers’ requirements.
Most of the 30 certification courses have undergone assessment by college credit recommendation services, resulting in the assignment of applicable credit hours. Individuals acquiring these certifications can present the corresponding recommendations to colleges and receive credit.
A notable example of SpaceTEC Partners’ work can be observed in its collaboration with Houston Space Port. San Jacinto College was the training entity supporting the Houston Spaceport, particularly through its training program, namely EDGE center program. SpaceTEC collaborated with them to certify students in electronics, aircraft structures, and aircraft composites, credentialing numerous technicians now employed by various companies supporting the Houston Spaceport.
SpaceTEC Partners has replicated this achievement by partnering with Midland Spaceport and facilitating workforce development.
The company’s partnership with Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Commission to increase the number of skilled workers in the region is also commendable. SpaceTEC Partners worked with the Alabama community college system to identify the gaps in the available course work. After getting a complete picture of the limitations in the course work it developed solutions to fill those limitations. It was a huge success.
This company plays a crucial role in building a pipeline of skilled technicians. SpaceTEC Partners makes its mark in fostering a positive narrative around technical occupations and empowering individuals to pursue their career paths of choice.
